I try hard not to pick favorite but boy I just love this fantastic 3yr. The movement, the brain, the talent and well the color is pretty cool as well. He isn't just a pretty face but that never hurts :) Everyone always messages and says well I love the looks of him but 3yr is just too young and I hear you but sometimes they are simply worth the slow development. This one is special!!!
Will- 3yr 15.3 h gelding sired by Hottest Cat in Town (AQHA cutting horse) out of a clyde/paint mare. His sire is a Sorrel Rabicano and I think that is what you would call his color. I bought Will from awesome people in Canada who put a fantastic start on him!
I knew he was really cool but honestly he has just blew us away. He can seriously seriously move. Right now he looks like spare parts in some ways as he is seriously growthy but when they move like this as a 3yr and have his brain you better pay attention! He has just been absolutely brilliant since arriving. His groundwork is very good and he is just coming along each ride learning to use his body, push from behind and work over his back. The trot is just crazy on him and the canter is so lovely. Just watch that hind leg!
He has the best best brain. Just been unflappable coming into a new place with so much going on. Been very good for turnout, stall, grooming, tacking, etc. Only thing he isn't as sure about sometimes is the hose so we just go slow but that is a normal young horse thing.
He traveled off the farm for a trail ride and was absolutely awesome and he has had several rides out in the field. We introduced him to jumping with some of the jumps in the XC field and my gosh he just took right to it showing beautiful form on his first time jumping. I just love how quiet and relaxed he was to everything.
I think with the brain and movement on this one he is going to be something so darn fancy. He will be hitting more trails and doing a lot more as we go but he is growing so just trying not to overdue it.
