Vada-16.3 h 6yr pinto draft mare. I just love one that is almost completely black with just a little bit of white. This girl is stunning!
Vada just came down from Canada. They had her since a baby and mostly had just done a lot of trail riding with her. She is obviously a bit out of shape and I am telling you these horses from Canada come in FAT!!!!!!!! We were laughing as we had to pull out the "big" horse tack. I actually think she is quite athletic and has that really really nice slow soft canter on her which most draft x's don't have. Just give us a little bit to get her back in shape and watch out!
For supposedly not having a lot of "formal" ring work done, we thought she rode around beautifully. Nice transitions, soft in the bridle, nice whoa, good off the leg and fairly straight in her body. She was relaxed and confident in her work. Has a nice engine on her as well which I appreciate. Quiet but you won't be kicking all the time.
She is sound, no injuries and no vices. Looking forward to doing more with her!
