F Finn aka Tuckaway Finnley is coming along so well! He is a 3yr 15.3h connemara/tb sired by Coud Poker Tartifume https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/tuckaway+finnley that was very lightly started prior to arriving to us in July. He has just been the easiest horse to bring along. To be more than honest, we do very light work with him because he is just a very quiet easy type that doesn't truly need to be doing a lot. He is one of those horses that is just so darn lovely on the flat that you watch him and feel like he could do hunters but could do eventing/dressage as well. He is steady, consistent, balanced, lovely transitions and just plain easy. Talk about a pretty mover! He just makes the prettiest shape in the bridle all on his own. He is so soft and balanced. Just floats around flicking his toes because he can :)
We have lightly started him over some jumps (very lightly). He has traveled off the farm for one baby xc school. He has also been traveling off the farm for trail riding in western tack where he tackles bridges, water, ditches, hills, traffic and so much more. He loads/unloads/ties to the trailer. He is learning to lead as well as follow in the groups. He is a naturally quiet type who doesn't really get excited abut much.
I would say that Finn is a bit more on the quiet side but as he is getting more developed he has found his forward button and we try to ride out of the ride more than in the ring. Finn can be a "looky" horse which in my opinion has always come with this breed ) He is not dirty or naughty. This is not a horse that does anything ever to get you off. He will purposely keep you in the tack but he will look at things as you ride around.
Finn has been as sound and hearty as this breed is known to be. He is barefoot, easy keeper and just overall easy. He has a massive personality and is a bit of a character. I call him a bit of a sour patch. He can make a face at you one minute and want to be your best friend the next. He loves toys and still in a bit in that baby everything in the mouth stage.
I think he is going to be so special. This is a very fancy moving/jumping type with all the right pieces for someone to continue to develop.
