Sterling had his second ride yesterday and what a cool horse! I was able to track down a bit of his history with his brand. His sire is a really stunning blue roan. They used to breed bucking horses but realized they were doing better selling really nice draft x's in the current market. He was sired in Utah. 4yr about 15.3 at the moment.
I am sure he is a fairly green horse but he was well started western, on the trails, etc before I bought him. He is a little unsure about the contact but that will come as we go. I just love the overall shape and balance. Nice mover. Really nice canter! He is quite athletic.
He took right to jumping even popping off lead changes :) This is going to be another really great prospect to bring along.
