   Smitten- 4yr 16.1 h clyde tb mare. She was bred/raised/started by great breeders in Texas. She was started perfectly in my opinion. Her connections said she rides like a TB and maybe that is why I love her so much but we all think she is one of the favorites in the barn. She is uphill, light, balanced, super mover, good jumper, excellent brain, built to last, barefoot, easy keeper and has the draft that makes the brain a bit quieter with all the athletic ability you could want. I have to say I am shocked she hasn't had any interest because she really is just one of our favorite rides.

She will at least be one that does prelim maybe more. She will hunt with the best of them. If I had to fault her I would say her neck is a little bit short but it also makes it easy to ride her in a shape and you can creatively make that shape look very nice for the dressage. She had only jumped a few times prior to coming to us but darn this mare is brave as they come and just game! She eats up the jumps. Once again has a great canter so the changes are just natural to her.

She is a very light sporty athletic draft cross that stays uphill on their own and is NOT heavy at all. She is light and you need to put your leg on her to connect her a bit. She is sensible and fun. She might peek at things as you ride around but in a curious way. Keep your leg on and give her a wee bit of a job and she doesn't look at anything but if you ride her on the buckle she does wander around a bit :)

She is very much a tolerant type of horse. I think she is so brave and honest she will cover a lot of riding mistakes. She is forward thinking and has an engine so draft type that you don't have to kick along. She will motor along and have you smiling. She is tolerant to chaos, dogs, noise and anything else. She is a horse that can sit and you pull her out once a week to ride and have the same horse. We are rather busy right now so we have test that out.

She has been off the farm trail riding and goes out in western tack. She goes through water, crosses bridges, handles traffic, terrain and so much more. Ties quietly to the trailer. Loads/unloads very well.

She just went to Windurra for a xc school and holy moly this mare is just so cool. I mean this was her first big xc school and she really just wanted to keep going and going. The more we did the more game she became. She was eager to jump ditches, banks, in and out of the water and so much more. She is just so adjustable with a great canter. Just one you really enjoy riding out!

She is sound, barefoot, easy keeper, no injuries and no vices. Yes, she is a mare but I honestly do not find any marish things about her. She is exactly the kind of mare that I love. Honestly, this is another that I think suits me perfectly. She is talented enough to be competitive but the type that will tolerate a less than ideal riding schedule and maybe the imperfect ride.
