Luca- 3yr 16h wb/draft x gelding registered as American WB.  This is one heck of a nice horse! We have had him for a few months now just letting him fill out a bit while we got him going. His connections have had him since he was weaned and have done an incredible job starting him!

He is out of a young Dutch Warmblood stallion who has started competing in the green hunter classes and his dam is a full Percheron used for driving. His sire is 16.3 hands and dam is 17.1 hands tall so he has a lot of growing left to do!

In his previous home, they had been bringing along Luca exactly as a young horse should be developed. Learning to load on the trailer, crossties, baths, clipping, lunging, driving, long lining and so much more. He has done desensitization with tarps, flags, bags, balls, boxes, etc. He had been started under saddle and is doing everything a growing 3yr should be doing! He has even went to a show where he was ridden around, in every arena, near hunter jumps, and through an obstacle course. He has been on trail rides and gone over bridges, through water, and through tall overgrown plants. He has been free jumped and jumped over 4 ½ feet.

I honestly just like everything about this horse. In the barn, he just as kind as they come. So full of personality. Very very much in your pocket. He loves people and other horses. Will go right up to dogs, cats, etc and just be like hey be my friend.

We have been slowly bringing him along and I say slowly mainly because we are busy and he is one of those horses that you truly can bring out once a week and ride. I know...sure...sure..but no really that is him. No prep, no lunging just nothing needed. He is QUIET. You do need a little forward encouragement for him but I am ok with that at this age. This horse is just such a lovely lovely mover. Soft, bendy, good through his body, stretchy and the canter is so nice. I think where he sort of should catch your attention is watching him jump. We very rarely jump him but this horse is so so good naturally over a fence. Excellent front end, super through his body and really great hind end. BRAVE. Really really brave. No stop. Very auto with his lead changes. Just loves to jump and shows so much potential.

We plan to get him out xc soon and in the fields/etc. He was just a bit immature when we got him so we let him grow into himself a bit. I think this horse truly is one that has potential to be something very special. Sound, barefoot, no injuries and no vices.
