Silver is a 10yr 14.2 h gelding of unknown breeding. This boy is fancy with absolutely beautiful training put on him but I honestly don't know much history. I was just told he has been doing a lot of trail riding which I am sure is very true but he is just super duper fancy with training to indicate he is much more than a trail horse.
He has been getting the works from teeth, worming and new shoes on. He has nice feet but with the bugs/ground he looked like he wanted a pair of shoes. He appears extremely sound. No injuries and has no vices. His manners are impeccable. He is a horse that you can just tell has been there and done it. The only thing I can possibly say that he doesn't like is his face being touched around his mouth area. He isn't the most super snuggly right now but we are determined to win him over! He has already come out of his shell a ton since coming in so I bet he will realize people are awesome soon enough. He seems happy to just overly loving if that makes any sense. He is excellent for shipping, clipping, baths, wash stall, grooming, tacking and everything in between. Great in his stall and turnout. Very very quiet and just chill.
He is an extremely fancy mover. Honestly sometimes he trot with four feet off the ground fancy especially when loose. We rode him once on arrival just for a quick assessment of what he was all about and then let him just relax a bit. We hopped back on yesterday to just test out a few more of the buttons and boy he is just something special in my opinion. He is so soft in his body. Lovely shape. Super soft in his mouth. He just goes right over his back. Three super fancy gaits. He will go any way you want because you can easily ride him on the buckle and he just stays in the shape and rhythm.
He never looks at anything. He could care less about traffic in the ring or general chaos. He is more whoa than go but you don't have to kick him all the time. He would give confidence because he is just so darn broke but also very quiet and soft. His gaits are big but not quick. He just covers the ground.
Now we popped him around some jumps yesterday and I don't think he has jumped but he jumped everything not even glancing at the extremely scary fillers. I don't think he yet understands but he was super cute, quiet and willing. I think his training was probably more western or dressage if I had to guess but with his willing nature and bravery the jumping will be a cinch.
We will be hitting the trails and doing a lot more with him here soon but I do think this one is quite fancy and very well broke. His work ethic and training cannot be beat. Any kid would be thrilled to have him but adults too!
