Rivage- 15.3 h 4yr gelding sired by Maximus Mischief out of a Fort Larned mare https://www.pedigreequery.com/rivage11 This lovely horse has run over fences and on the flat. He has 10 starts for 14k and last raced on 7/13/26. He has been with his trainer/owner connections his entire career. She reported him to be extremely sound, no injuries and has no vices. Said just a lovely temperament, easy to ride, good mover and jumper. He had the luxury to be stabled at Fairhill so lots of hacking out, galloping hills and riding out in groups which really translates over to the second career.
I will be honest, when I first glanced at him early this morning I thought he was cute enough but he didn't jump off the page at me. My husband had given him high marks for walking way out to the trailer and just being perfect and then this morning he was great for clipping, grooming and his glow up. He was just as chill as could be having just arrived last night which is always a great first impression.
Then we put him in the free area and I was like well wait a damn minute you are super fancy! Holy smokes can he move and what a hind leg on him. Always why it's important not to just go on looks :)
We did his first ride and again just super nice horse! Lovely mover, great balance, natural shape in the bridle, three quality gaits and we popped him over a jump and yep that is going to be special too. Handled the traffic of another horse out in the ring and was just totally professional. Can't wait to do more with him!
