  Poker Player Kaz- 4yr 16h gelding sired by Tapwrit out of a Harlans Holiday mare https://www.pedigreequery.com/poker+player+kaz This lovely gelding had seven starts and while he ran decently he also is a cheap claiming horse that his trainer did not feel would be competitive when he moved his horses south for the winter. He retired sound with no injuries. He is an extremely mild cribber which I only noticed at feed time.

If you are looking for a RRP hunter which I feel is actually kind of challenging to find, I think he could be a top candidate. At least in my experience, finding the flat knee quiet hunter types is just much more difficult and I sure buy a lot of horses. I think this one has the goods!

He is just so so quiet naturally. Shipped great. Unloaded in the dark just as quietly as they come. Stands perfectly in the crossties for baths, grooming, clipping and even was totally chill about us clipping ears/face/etc. Stood almost to quietly for us to try to get pictures. We were using the dog to make him look interested and he was like yeah whatever. At one point Justin was in the woods shaking trees just to get him perked up. So yeah this one is quite chill.

He was just lovely trotting around in the free area. I just think this movement/build/quiet canter leads to being very special in the hunter ring. He looks to be a horse that will have some growing left to do.

We had a bit of time to pop on him for a first ride. I would love to get his feet done but hopefully soon! As I expected, he is just beyond quiet. We headed out to the field because it was a gorgeous day and he just was beyond relaxed. Walked around on the buckle not even glancing at all the spooky jumps. He quietly w/t/c and even popped over some baby logs. This horse is a GEM! The brain cannot be beat.
