Peaches- 15.3h 5yr draft cross mare that is just so darn adorable! Peaches was nicely started on the basics in western tack. She has a really good set of brakes, nice steering, soft in the bridle and everything done right. She has been really coming along nicely since we have gotten her in the ring, trails, jumping, etc!
I feel like people can be so against mares but darn if I don't love a good mare. This one is a good one! Super good work ethic. I really think this mare is quite an athletic cross and a fancy moving type. Really pretty shape in the bridle. Light, uphill, fantastic canter, brave and willing. Has a motor so not the dead head kind at all but does nothing wrong either. Just is happy to go anywhere you ask of her. Doesn't hurt that she is quite pretty to look at as well. We have been riding her both english and western. She has been out in the field hacking. She has been lightly introduced to jumping in the ring and out in the XC field. She has been extremely brave and willing to the jumps! She has been traveling off the farm to trail ride going through water, across bridges, jumping trees, through ditches, traffic and more.
She has been excellent with shipping, baths, grooming, turnout, stall, tacking, lunging and everything in between. We have a lot more planned for her coming soon!
I think I would say that right now she is still a green horse and while she is a very good green horse she would do best with an educated rider who can continue her training. She is a chonk so I think you could assume she is just so adorable and kid friendly but she isn't ready for that just yet!
She is sound, big gorgeous feet, easy keeper and no vices. Only thing I noted was that on her left jaw line there is a scar and she has an indent of sort there. You can see close up pictures in her photo album.
