Whenever I scroll facebook, I have a rule that if I go back to look a few times there is something that is speaking to me. I asked for videos of this one and even though he was not exactly in my resale budget, I just had to have him. I have had so so many requests for this type and boy he didn't disappoint!
Omaha is a 5yr 15.3 h belgian/qh draft cross (confirmed) . His mom is a registered palomino qh. He is quite light and very athletic. He looks like this sort of fluffy type that you think oh adorable but when you see him go it's like wait this thing is just too cool! He arrived late yesterday and quickly got a bath and a clip job so he was ready for his confo pictures today. He was just too cute for words out there and then he was showing off in the free area. That canter is just so balanced.
His connections did a fantastic job with him. He was very nicely started in the ring, indoor, xc, trails and more. She unfortunately had some surgeries and was facing more and just didn't want him to sit. She knew how talented he was and he needed a place to shine.
Whoever did his training should be commended. He rides like butter! Soft, bendy, off the leg and super balanced. So soft I will change him to just a rubber bit next time. Justin couldn't get over just how cool this one was and he was really like ok he was well worth it! The canter is one of those canters that we all would beg to ride. Super soft and collected. If anything he finds his canter the easiest and will just pop into the cutest canter when you are asking for a wee bigger trot. He is just one that goes right where you put him. While we were riding him another horse was being lunged in the round pen and he was alert but focused.
Justin could not resist popping him over some jumps and um holy smokes like come on could he be any cuter??? I think he is likely quite green but just so much try in him. My fillers are scary and he didn't care a bit. Even did his lead changes! Knees to his chin. He was getting really tired so I bet when fresh he really jumps a 10.
Just absolutely adore this one and can't wait to do more. Cannot believe I have all these cool horses in and we are about to get slammed with this storm. Uh!
