MJ the Mustang! MJ is the most adorable 5yr 14.2 h blm mustang off the Nevada range. He was rounded up in December of 2021 and then went off for training at a correctional facility. He was later adopted out through the TN facility from everything I was able to research. MJ is owned by my friend Ellie Stilson who absolutely adores him. He was nicely started when she got him but she is extremely busy and has been planning a wedding keeping her super busy. He realized she simply doesn't have the time for all her horses and MJ deserved to have his new person who wanted to go on all the adventures.
MJ is just so adorable. I believe he is considered gray but boy he is an interesting color gray. Big old dapples and just as cute as can be. He is chunky and out of shape at the moment so we will be taking it nice and slow but he is just so fun!
He had his glam session yesterday and then a little light lunge where he was declared absolutely adorable and fancy. He came out for his ride today and I honestly think it has been quite some time since he had been ridden but he was just such a good boy. This one is FANCY! Whenever I get a mustang, I am always like wait I need to be buying more mustangs and why isn't everyone getting a mustang??? I mean hardy, cute, nice feet, good mover, brave and just fancy types at least this is number three of perfect mustangs for me. He has the canter of a big horse and was just cantering around on the buckle. Super fancy toe flicking trot. I have a feeling he had never jumped but he was like sure that is cool let's do it. Just such a good attitude. He is already quite fancy but gives us a few weeks of work/fitness and look out!!! This one could absolutely rock the hunters/dressage/eventing and I bet with his great brain he will love hunting. We will be hitting the trails with him soon enough.
He is sound, no injuries, no vices, barefoot and very very easy keeper.
