Minnie is really just impressing me!!! Minnie is a 6yr 16h percheron cross mare that I imported from Canada. She had been nicely started in the ring, hacking out, etc. Obviously up there she had more indoor riding than outdoors but she just looked like a very nice athletic type of mare.
She has been absolutely amazing since arriving. She wasn't very fit so obviously we are taking our time but talk about such a cute cute mover! She is a bit inconsistent in the contact still but to be expected for where she in her training at the moment. She really makes such a nice shape in her body. She is one of those draft x's with nice substance that takes up your leg but isn't super huge either. She is easy to really put together and so fun to ride. She is just absolutely stunning and we are just essentially starting to get her fit. I swear each week she just gets stronger in the work and it shows in her video progression.
She is also a super duper cute jumper both in the ring and over the cross country jumps. She really has a ton of scope and I think is going to be one that easily should do novice/training. She is brave but still super quiet and rideable. More the type you have to put your leg on but still has a great motor.
We discovered she hadn't had experience with hoses or spray bottles so that is still a bit of a work in progress :) She is getting much better so I think we will have that all normalized for her shortly. She is super duper sweet. No marish. Barefoot, sound, no injuries, no vices. Great in turnout, stall, cross ties, tacking, mounting, etc.
