Midnight- 8yr 16.1 h percheron/qh mare that has a background in driving/trails and now starting her more advanced ring work. I did previously have her aged at 5 but my dentist did her and thought she was closer to the 8yr range.

I feel like everyone is hoping to find that draft cross that has the amazing brain yet is still athletic enough to be competitive across disciplines. Midnight checks those boxes for me and we are honestly just scratching the surface on her potential. Talk about one that is a good good mover! Nothing drafty about her. Lovely shape in her body, good use of the hind leg, super length in the neck and just wants to use herself in all the right ways. She is so smart and trainable. I always feel like the driving background does a ton for them in terms of bravery and basic training but you have to work on some steering, understanding of the leg to hand, etc which isn't too hard to teach them. She really is just such a fancy type. Right now she still is learning to "sit" at the canter but that is something that comes with time as they get stronger.

She hacks out all over the place. Super brave, not spooky and nothing silly about her. She has been introduced to jumps and just could care less about anything. Pops right over all the cross country jumps. Extremely quiet and will just trot around if you would like to do that but also the bigger the jump the more effort she puts in. She is new to jumping but is one that has picked everything up so quickly.

She has been learning to lunge in the vienna reins and do some groundwork just to figure out how to connect all the pieces without the rider up as well.

Midnight has lovely ground manners. I am often leading her along with another horse. She is not marish. She is good to ship, clip, tie, baths, grooming, etc.

She is barefoot, easy keeper and very sound. She is really shedding out
