Sometimes I am so confused about the current market for ottb's. This horse belongs to my rider and I think he is exceptional. I watched him jump around a course today (I think this is maybe his 4th jumping) and he was just so darn lovely in all the ways. See video here https://youtu.be/UIR1T1s7oXk I don't know what more we want a month post track? Scopey, soft, rideable, relaxed and beautiful form. He does his changes. He also trail rides western going across bridges, traffic, water and more. Rides western. Has jumped XC in the field. I watched them show him to a customer on Sunday when it was gusting 40mph wind so strong all the jumps were blown over in the ring. If anything he was "too quiet" for the customer who saw him he was just a bit tired that day. This horse has no quirks/no holes/no issues. I think he could walk into the hunter ring tomorrow or rock around a xc course. He will easily go BN this winter or do some winter h/j shows.
Marathoner- 6yr 15.3 h gelding sired by More than Ready out of a Street Boss mare https://www.pedigreequery.com/marathoner2 Marathoner had 36 starts for 138k in earnings. Last raced on 8/27/25 and then was gelded at the track in preparation for rehoming. His trainer has wonderful things to say about him in regards to his manners, personality and trainability all which have shown true immediately!
I absolutely love anything by More than Ready and then add in the Street Boss who truly throws some of the best moving/jumping horses I know and you know this one has something special. He has been nothing but class since arriving. Standing in the crossties for grooming, baths, clipping, etc. My farrier said this one can stay :) He was perfect for his hot shoes (on his second set as of this week) as I was tied up and just left him to stand alone.
This lovely horse just continues to impress. He is so darn nice to ride! Super mover. Light, soft, uphill and balanced. He is just all class. He is coming along really well in his flatwork. He has started over fences in both the ring and out in the xc field. He has traveled off the farm to trail ride in western tack and handled traffic, bridges, ditches and more. Just really sensible and has the best work ethic.
He is RRP eligible. Sound, no injuries and has no vices. The type that I think will very easily be competitive across disciplines.
