     Malibu- 3yr 16.1 h super well bred clydesdale/thoroughbred mare that everyone who comes through thinks is so stunning. She may know she is pretty as well :) Again, I think this is perhaps one of the nicest I have seen of this breed. She is the total package!!!

We got Malibu in the winter and have slowly been developing her with lots of really really good groundwork and she is now nicely started in the ring, field and has trotted over some baby jumps and been traveling off the farm to go trail riding where she had to lead everyone!!! She is just brave beyond words through water, ditches, traffic, bridges, etc. She also follows quietly but strikes me as one that will be a whip's horse or really good event horse because she is just very confident going off and leading the crowd. She also just went xc schooling for the first time (8/13) and was an absolute star. I don't know what 3yrs just come out so confident on their second off the farm trip and skip around like a hunter round but this one sure does! She really is just this nice every single time!

The canter is that canter that lends itself to jumping a darn big jump. She can just sit down so nicely and boy does she use that hind leg! Her other gaits aren't too shabby! Super nice mover that just makes a nice shape in the bridle. She is a horse that is a bit more whoa than go but appreciates a rider with a feel that can ride from leg to hand. She has really just become very reliable as she has progressed in her training and now she frequently only does one/two days and week and is fantastic with that schedule.

She has been very brave going out in the field, hacking around and jumping all the scary fillers. Just finds it all quite easy. We have taken our time with her because boy did she hit a very ugly growth spurt for a bit. She is now leveled out but we keep our young horses in a light work program as they are actively growing.

She is excellent with shipping, baths, grooming, lunging, mounting, groundwork, etc. Doesn't love the clippers on her face but will tolerate a little bit. We could work on that :) She has been absolutely amazing, brave and confident in her off the farm trips. Loads, unloads, ties and has zero cares in the the world about anything. She doesn't have buddy issues and is actually very confident going around alone which is impressive for a young horse!
