I would LOVE to have a barn full of Jett's if I could. I honestly cannot express how incredible this horse is to ride. Justin hadn't ridden him before today and he said this horse was just an absolute blast to ride XC. Jett is a 13 yr 16.1 h draft cross that has more mileage than I can probably even list. He was bred in OK. He started as a ranch horse, then was foxhunting for several years and then went back to being a ranch horse. He has more miles on the the toughest trails than most horses. He has worked hard doing actual farm work from roping, catching broncs, ponying colts and everything in between. He can sit, spin, sidepass and do all the western moves. He is extremely well broke western but obviously just as nice english.

This horse will win a dressage test without a doubt in my mind. He is a super nice mover. He is uphill, steady, balanced and just stays in the shape. He has an incredible canter. He is excellent off the leg and moves around in his body. He can sit and he can extend. He is a big mover honestly with more movement than we have asked for because we are getting him to just tone it down a little bit for our type of shoppers.
He is just a fantastic jumper because he has that canter that makes it hard to miss. If you do miss, he will cover for you. He is lovely in the ring cantering courses and he absolutely rocked the XC. The bigger the jump, the better he jumps it. He just absolutely will take you around with a smile on your face. I would say this one will very easily go training maybe prelim. He has scope and he can gallop. He is quite athletic and scopey.
We have had him out on trails and he is the one that will lead everyone through and past all the scary stuff. He cantered right into the pond and trotted right up to the bridge like come on you suckers what are you waiting for..... He is just too cool for words. I think everyone fights to ride this one and heck I want to ride him next but I bet he doesn't last.
I could write a book about this horse but when you meet him you just know. He has been there and done it. He is broke...broke and more broke. There is nothing he doesn't do. There are no holes. There are no quirks. I haven't found a single thing. He isn't a beginner type. This horse is not your grandma's draft x. He can move, he can jump, he can get down the trails. Yes, he will walk all day on the buckle if you want but he is not a slow pokey type which we love. He is uphill and he will sit right there in the bridle but we are using a slightly bigger bit to balance him up just a wee bit. He can just get a bit long in a snaffle out and about.
Jett is extremely sound. No injuries. No vices. Excellent feet. He does all the things. Self loads, ties, ties to the trailer, clips, baths, grooming, etc with a smile on his face. He is beyond gentle to handle. He truly is that unicorn kind of horse you can look a very long time for and not find.
