Holly is our 3yr 15.2 h blond bombshell draft cross mare. She seriously makes us all laugh. She has so much personality and just plain sass. Not in a bad way just so very expressive and it is hilarious. When I turn horses out and she has to wait you see her popping up and down doing this little horse version of cartwheels :)

Holly came to us lightly started and she was owned by an awesome vet who just put all the right foundation on her. To know Holly is to love her but she recognized this athletic mare needed a good program for her next steps. She in no way is naughty but boy this mare loves a job. She just has the best work ethic and she is always up for an adventure. I think she is the ultimate go have fun kind of horse for anyone!

She is still a developing young horse so not yet for a beginner but I do think she will be beginner friendly in another year. She has the best brain! Will go anywhere or do anything you ask her to do. If you have experience developing these types for eventing, hunting, trail riding, etc this one is just plain awesome! She is uphill, balanced, brave, slightly cocky in the best way and fun as they come. Yes, I think she will grow some more not exactly sure but probably finish 16h or so? She isn't super heavy and is athletic which I love. She will go all day and then go some more if you would like but she is happy to just walk along on the trails. She is super soft, balanced and light. No worries about her being drafty at all!

If there is one thing about us we know how to have fun and our horses will get used to doing silly stuff because that is the name of the game creating all around horses.

She went on an off the farm trail ride that is seriously tough going for young horses with the hills on the side of the a cliff and she was part mountain goat. Water, bridges, traffic and so much more all no big deal. Was happy to walk along or open up into trotting/cantering. Loads like a champ. Ties to the trailer. Just as brave as you could want a young horse heading to a first big trail adventure to be. She also enjoys snorkeling in the water :)

She had a little session where she carried the flag just because we know this girl is not the least bit spooky even with a flag flying around her. I think it just helps to desensitize them but also demonstrate just how they handle noise/objects above them.

She has popped over jumps in the ring and out xc. We think she is just super duper adorable and awesome. She makes the cutest shape in the bridle. She has all the right basics. She is sound, no injuries, no vices and has lovely manners. Has been excellent for everything!

www.benchmarksporthorses.com in delaware. She is low 5 carrots. This is just a really nice horse that I can see being successful in so many different disciplines. She is just plain fun!
