Harley- 5yr 15.2 h draft cross gelding. This cutie was started in a very good QH trainer's barn. They got him thinking he was going to be a quick flip for them but when him and his buddy arrived they both were not exactly handled. The put a solid 90 days on them of doing all the basics from walking, lunging, baths, grooming, picking up feet and all the groundwork basics before they started him under tack just to ensure the foundation was very solid. It is wonderful to have all those basics put on right and it truly shows as he has so quickly figured out his new job!
I thought he was super cute but he shocked me with how cute of a mover he was in the free area! I mean he is built really well so not shocking he moves well but always fun to see! He has been great for shipping, grooming, baths and all the things we have done so far!
Justin has put a few western rides on him which have all been going really well and yesterday rode him english which was just beyond adorable! He is really such a darn cute mover and is coming along at lighting speed. His steering was a bit green but gets better each ride. He is learning how to put all his parts together. Really good brain!
