I am fuller than full right now with no room but honestly when something of this pedigree pops up, you simply make it work. We love love love our chasers. We have three right now in the barn that are simply a step above what I think you will find out there on the market. I think what makes them so special is all the quality miles they have in terms of hacking, going xc, galloping hills, riding out of the ring, long trot sets and they tend to just be built different and ridden different which allows them to transition to eventing extremely well. This horse last raced a month ago and when you talk about two rides into a new career you simply will see in the videos he is a stand out. Sure, he isn't a flashy color but chrome doesn't make the horse..... people get to caught up in exactly what doesn't matter sometimes at least in my opinion!!!! When you watch him move, it's just simply a horse that is stunning in every single way. The walk and canter are truly just super duper special. The hind leg on this horse is just exactly what you want. It pushes underneath and pushes those shoulders up and out. His trot is just soft, bendy and so flexible. He is light, uphill and just in the bridle so naturally. Gives you that feeling that makes you think wait this dressage stuff is real fun! I have probably sold over 1000 tb's easily and finding horses like this is what keeps me going because when you sit on one of these I just don't know that you want to ride anything else. This is one of the truly special ones that I think has the goods to hit the top of the scoreboard.
We had a little jump in the ring yesterday and he showed us everything we wanted to see but today we popped out to jump the xc in the field and just again everything you could want. I think chasers can get a wrap for jumping fast/flat but that is a misconception in my experience. This horse just comes soft to the base and wraps right around the jumps. Brave, adjustable and that feeling that makes you want to go find more jumps to jump. We ran out of stuff big enough to challenge him but yeah no doubt he can jump anything you point him at.
I think this one truly is a horse that a professional could develop but also extremely easy for anyone to ride. He is all class. He knows his job and when you swing a leg over, he just goes right to work.
He is sound and has no vices. Looks to have a scar across the left front that is superficial. I do think that he can be a bit pushy on the ground but he is already more settled (he has been here three days). I think a horse of this athletic ability likely needs and will attract someone that appreciate his enthusiasm for doing the job. He isn't super great at standing "still" just yet but by no means is he bad. He just is a little antsy in the crossties. He knows he is going to work and he is excited. I suspect he is very much one that just appreciates having a job. I have no doubts he will attract those that want exactly what he has to offer. Who wouldn't want to ride this one every day!
I also love his free video where he goes and shows off and then just trots right up to Justin each time like hey did you see me??? Wasn't I awesome??? He is just such a super duper cool horse. I am a wee bit in love!
