E Ernie- 6yr 15h blue roan draft cross gelding that is just about as cute as they come. Ernie is another one that has all the fancy buttons! He is western broke with all the fancy stuff. Sliding stop, spins, side pass, etc. He neck reins and just is super duper well broke. He also drives, trail rides and so much more.
We haven't had as much time to play with him as I would have hoped but he is just fun! He was great for his ride in the ring and even popped over some jumps all cute. Today he messed around with the flag which honestly is really scary to most but he didn't care at all. We wanted to ride him in western tack just for the heck of it. I love his cute way of going. So light and just stays right in the perfect little shape/balance. His transitions are so smooth. He has all the nice buttons installed.
Ernie has been great for shipping, clipping, baths, grooming, tacking, mounting and all the things. I think he is just ultra cool. Ernie is not 100% convinced people are cool yet so it is my goal to win him over with lots of treats :) I think he could be tricky to catch in a big field now that we have played with him more. He just thinks people are a wee bit sketch. I think he will come around being here and handled daily. I can already see a huge difference but he may never be the most affectionate horse.
