Sometimes you buy horses and the age isn't quite what you were told. Eli was supposed to be a 3yr turning 4 belgian/qh gelding but he is 2 coming 3. When he came off the trailer, I thought damn he looks like a baby and sure enough my dentist confirmed. I turned him out for a few months and then he came back over here. He had been lightly broke in Canada and they do a great job because this one is just lovely.
Honestly, I don't think people would believe me if I tried to convince you how quiet this one is but you would know when you rode him/worked around him. I had his sibling here (was named Ken) and he was just as lovely. They are the kindest sweetest types and just super nice horses. We popped on Eli once when he came back over here to see if he was started and he was just like yeah whatever I know all the things so we just let him chill. I wanted to get a bit of pics/video today in case someone did want a really really nice coming 3yr because the brain on this one cannot be beat. He hadn't been ridden in weeks and was just perfect. He is just born broke. So quiet. So smart. Kind and easy. The type that is athletic, balanced but has that bombproof kind of mentality naturally. Justin even rode him down the driveway walking and trotting along. He happily left the barn/friends.
He does all the things- ships, clips, baths, cross ties, etc. Just the sweetest teddy bear of a horse. If you want a very nice draft x to develop let me know otherwise he is just hanging out until spring.
