Donut- 15yr 15.2 h grade gelding. I really really wish I knew more of his history because I bet this one is registered. My guess is he showed and did all the things. He is really gorgeous and just so fancy. The person I got him from bought him locally and was told he did western, trails and all the things. Also that they proudly had put a sliding stop on him lol. Now I think he is pretty darn fancy and doesn't really go like a western horse but maybe hunter under saddle. Hard to say I guess not knowing a lot. I can just tell you that he is cute, gorgeous and boy he moves nice.
He has been great with shipping, grooming, wash stall, grooming, etc. Good in turnout, stall and excellent to handle. He prefers you to move around him not at warp speed if possible. I think he is just the type of horse that is cool with anything if you tell him what you are doing but just a little sensitive if you start flinging things everywhere.
We are still getting to know him but have done a lot of ground work and a few rides on him. He lunges like a pro. Someone spent a lot of time doing groundwork with him because your kids could lunge him on their own. We have only ridden him english so far but will be testing him western and on trails soon. We rode him in the field and in the ring. He is a horse that is just really super fancy and makes a cute outline. He is smooth with flat knee movement that screams hunters to me. He is happy to go with a loop in the reins or more on the contact.
We popped him over a few jumps today and I am not sure he really knows how to jump but he was willing and appears like he could be quite cute with a bit more work which will be doing with him soon.
He is super sound, barefoot and has no vices. He has gotten his teeth done, worming and feet done. Easy keeping type. Just very easy to live with in the barn. Looking forward to doing more with him!
