 I have never owned a blue roan before but I bought this one because she very much was my type regardless of color. I feel like when I am shopping for the crossbred types I am looking for the same kind of feel that a good TB gives me. A nice uphill type, good hind leg, nice mover, good brain, kind eye, etc. Same criteria just a bit different horse.

Blue is a 3yr 16h perch/qh mare. She obviously is growing as she has just turned 3 according to my dentist. I hope she stays light in her frame. I am sure she will fill out but I love her because she is uphill, balanced and very athletic. I like the more athletic types that really can stand out in the english disciplines but hey they can still be western superstars if you want them to be.

She came from an excellent amish barn that puts a lovely start on the horses. This mare is confident about life which is a strange statement but she has a bit of that cocky personality I love. She just marched into my farm like she owned the place. Shipped like a dream. I spent the weekend clipping her where she stood like a rock for me to trim her feathers (yes, I clipped the feathers don't come at me), bridlepath, etc. Baths, mane pulling, etc. She is just quiet and not bothered by anything. She has a very funny personality and really does think highly of herself which makes me laugh.

I was quite eager to see her go and she didn't disappoint. I am sure she has very limited rides on her but everything is put on right. She is quite lovely for a 3yr in my opinion. She makes a really great shape. I probably will change to a duo bit so even softer as she wants to curl just a little. Love the way her neck comes out of her shoulder. Great hind leg. That canter is so nice and balanced! She could have cared less about anything in my very spooky ring or the other horse in the ring coming at her or behind her.

I think she is a super duper nice horse regardless of her color but the color doesn't hurt. She really is simply gorgeous. Hope to do confo pics, free video, etc as time allows.
