Beuys- 7yr 16.2 h imported gelding sired by Siyouni (FR) out of Plain Vanilla (FR) https://www.pedigreequery.com/beuys . Beuys raced in France and in the US. He had 23 starts for 250k in earnings. He was in training to steeplechase but he has been tricky to train/come out of the starting gate. His trainer thought this one was a super duper talented jumper said she can find no issues as he trains well and is sound.
He last raced on 11/13 and has just arrived. He got a quick clip and we did a little photo/free session today. Cannot wait to get going with him!
Beuys is a gorgeous 8yr 16.2 h imported French TB gelding https://www.pedigreequery.com/beuys He ran over fences and on the flat. He retired sound, no injuries and has no vices.
We gave him some time off and then we actually just started to take him out hunting. He really LOVES foxhunting. There are Tb's that are just a true joy in the hunt field and this is one of them. He happily goes on a loose rein at all gaits. He will gallop and then quietly stand at checks. He is brave, bold and adjustable. He automatically pulls himself up as the field slows so your work is minimal.
I would say this is a very very quiet type of TB. He is more whoa than go both in and out of the ring. We have really just started his ring work as we have been doing a lot of groundwork teaching him to lunge, stretch and get more comfortable in the contact.
I need to get some new conformation pictures as this boy has packed on the lbs since coming here!!! It is fun to watch them transform. His personality is really emerging as well. He has put on weight and muscle as he has let go of some of that steeplechase fitness :)
He obviously knows how to jump but so far we have only jumped him once which was yesterday. He was very brave over the fillers but if anything a little bit on the lazy side :) With the holidays/weather/etc his schedule has been very hit or miss but he really doesn't care.
I am still getting to know him but I do think he would truly love to be your hunt horse more than anything! We will have him out quite a bit more here soon.
