Artofthepossible is a 16.2 h 6yr imported french TB https://www.pedigreequery.com/artofthepossible sired by Storm the Stars out of a Desert Prince mare (IRE)
Earlier this week I talked about how I thought this horse was absolutely an UL talented type for an equally talented rider. He has that 5th leg feeling that you just know when you sit on it/see it.
Going out XC today to Windurra with the weather dropping 30 degrees and a fairly busy xc field with horses everywhere was going to be a good test to see what we had today. Artie truly showed up for the job today and was absolutely incredible. This horse could jump a house but first outings are supposed to just be educational. Sometimes he was a wee bit distracted by the horses in the other field going around the track and schooling so he wasn't exactly always paying the most attention to his jump form but all the pieces are there. The longer he went the better he got which I like to see! The way he can use his body is just impressive to me. He can jump from practically any distance. He is super brave and just the type that wants to do the job. He thought jumping in and out the banks into the water was so fun. He was just bold at the ditches, banks, water and so much more. We thought he was an absolute star!

This horse is absolutely one that I think is just unbelievably talented in all the ways. He is an exceptionally elastic big mover. The canter is just legit insane. He has auto changes. He jumps anything and everything you point him at. He is balanced, uphill, soft, elastic and light. He is braver than brave with that bit of cocky attitude I think it takes to really want to do the big stuff. He is super balanced and adjustable to the fences. He will jump no matter what. He hasn't peeked at anything. He will jump from any distance. He has that 5th leg feeling that is just hard to find. I don't say all my horses have the potential for the UL's but I do think he does want to do it.
This was his 2nd time jumping https://youtu.be/R1iWZ3a_tig and honestly you may watch and see there were things that weren't perfect. In one case my rider didn't make a decision on which way he wanted to turn and sort of ended up hanging off the side but Artie kept him in the tack :) I also wanted to show everything in this video because while this horse is incredible he is also one that will play around especially in the beginning of a jump course. However, note he's being ridden while one is lunging and handling it like a champ! He is athletic and can throw in some leaps, kicks and jumps. He isn't trying to get you off he is just a very exuberant type of horse. If you don't have experience riding these very talented athletic types then he is not for you. We love him and think he is incredible but not everyone loves one like him. He should be nice enough to land himself in a pro's barn or a good ammy with experience. I just say this is a TB for a person that truly likes an athletic horse and isn't afraid of one that can really display that athletic ability at times :) He likes a program. If you only ride two days a week he also just isn't for you. To be fair, we do sometimes ride him infrequently but if that is the case we do lunge him. He is just an athletic good feeling kind of horse. We have limited turnout here so I guarantee he would be "less" horse with turnout but that is our setup.
He is a horse that has perfect manners. He has shipped all over. He is excellent in stall, turnout, wash stall, grooming, tacking, mounting, lunging and everything in between. He is super sweet and personable. He loves people. He has a hilarious personality.
