Ain't I a Cool Dude- 5yr 15h AQHA gelding sired by Ain't I a Cool Guy (Frenchmans Guy) out of a He Might Do Too mare https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/aint+i+a+cool+dude I will be getting a duplicate of his papers with help from his breeder.
I was able to connect with is breeder and then his home until he was a 3yr. He was extremely loved and well started as a baby. He started in roping training as a 3yr and doing very well as a head horse and also doing ranch work. He was sold at the Texas Horse Sale in April and then not exactly sure where he went from there but I bought him privately as a grade qh before really knowing much about him. He just looked well started and very kind.
I think he is really going to blossom in my program. Right now he could use some weight/muscle but he will get that quickly here. We did a quick evaluation ride today and it seems like this guy is just super well broke. I can see why he would be a good roping horse but also can very much see him running barrels. I don't know a ton about all of that stuff but my riders do barrel race and then thought he had all the right pieces. More to come!
He came out english today and my gosh I seriously cannot believe the change. I thought he was cute western but it honestly didn't do him justice. I just think it can be harder to really ride a horse through the body in western tack but maybe I am wrong about that. I just overall thought he was much more relaxed and supple today but he could have just been more settled on his second ride. Regardless, I just think he is beyond adorable. He is so well started on the flat. Just quiet, nice transitions, understands how to be soft, neck reins but obviously good in both reins. Good off the leg. Just really smooth and soft overall.
We introduced him to some jumping and OMG just cute as can be! He was really figuring it out but talk about game for it. You know he hasn't jumped being a roping horse but that is why I just love a good horse. You can't beat a horse that can do it all. I mean this one is such an athletic good mover really what can't he do?
Can't wait to hit the trails, go xc, take him hunting and just add to his already cool resume. I swear he looks already better in his body condition since he arrived but give me a few weeks and watch out. He is just as cute as they come. Sound, no injuries and no vices.
