FAQ:
What times do you have available to show horses? I do have help with the riding and showing of horses so we have appointment times during the week and limited weekends available.
What is your sales policy? I operate on a first come first serve basis to appropriate qualified homes. I do my absolute best not to pick favorites and honor the first come policy. Essentially what that means is that I do not hold horses. Horses are available until they are paid for in full. If vetting is actually set up (scheduled with day/time) we will hold for that vetting if within a five day time frame. We continue to show the horses until the vetting is complete and payment is made. There are many reasons that people may pass on a horse during a vetting and another customer may be perfectly happy with the results of the said vetting. It is also common that people back out of vettings or simply change their mind before a vetting which is why we do not take horses off the market. That does mean a horse may be sold to someone who buys the horse sight unseen before your appointment to come and see it. I will always let you know before you make a drive out to my farm if a horse is sold. I do my best to notify everyone right away that a horse is sold. I realize it can be frustrating to have a horse sold that you wanted to come and see but many of mine do sell to buyers who are comfortable with the buying sight unseen process. If you have any questions please let me know. I like to say that there are always more horses and if I sell one you are interested in then I will do my best to find you another one!
Vetting Policy:
Once we have agreed to move forward with a ppe it should be set up for within 5 business days.
The buyer has 2 business days at max to decide if they are proceeding with the sale after the conclusion of the ppe. A quicker response is greatly appreciated as horses often have a line.
A non refundable deposit of $200 once the ppe is scheduled will hold the horse for you through the vetting. This simply means I will not sell the horse outright or have a sooner ppe set by someone else while we are waiting for yours. The deposit will be applied to the price of the horse. This is a non refundable deposit, so in the event you decide not to proceed with the sale or ppe for any reason it will not be returned.
You can chose not to put down a deposit while waiting for the ppe however, that means someone else might decide to purchase the horse outright before your vetting.
What payment methods do you accept: I take paypal, venmo, cashiers check and wire. Personal checks on a limited basis and must clear before horses leave.
Do you have a list of vets in your area? I am in Delaware and they aren't as many vet practices as in larger areas but I do have a list of vets and you are welcome to have your own vet come if they are in the area where they can travel to me. All the vets do digital xrays. Most are very comfortable vetting for customers who can't be present for the vettings. They typically will do the flexions, lunging, etc and then call to discuss the results before proceeding to anything else.

Do you ship or have a list of shippers? We do ship within a 3-4 hour range and can often do longer trips depending on the schedule. I have many shipping contacts and can also help you get shipping set up. I have many horses that ship long distances. I will hold the horses for a week at no cost while shipping is arranged but after that it is $25 a day until horse is picked up.
We have a 7 day pick up policy after your payment has been made. We have a very busy barn with limited space and are unable to hold horses past seven days. There is a $25 a day fee for anything that needs to stay past the 7 days post purchase.

Strong Lil Kokoro- 6yr 16.3 h gelding sired by Japan (Medaglia D'Oro) out of a Bustin Stones mare https://www.pedigreequery.com/strong+lil+kokoro It has been a hot minute since I have seen a Japan and boy did I beg to buy this one. I mean if this thing can't jump a big fence and gallop around XC I don't know what will.
He had 39 starts earning 95k. Retiring sound, no injuries. He does crib. I think he is put together so well. Just uphill with a great hind leg. He is also just so so sweet and well mannered. Shipped like a pro. Unloaded and loaded in the dark. Great for hot shoes. Great in turnout, stall, grooming, wash stall, bath, etc. I am smitten.
We knew he was going to be nice but darn can this thing move! I mean the gallop is just insanely good. He was getting it pretty good around there but in such a beautiful way that I was just drooling a bit. I mean nothing as beautiful to me than a big uphill gallop. The hind leg, reach through the shoulder, uphill neck all just should be something very very special. I think this could be one of the nicer ones but I also have a few equally as nice in my barn so geez I am pretty spoiled!
We got a chance to get on him today and oh baby is this one so so nice. He stood quietly to be tacked. Lunged perfectly. Quiet at the block. Stacy is riding with a broken hand so we are lunging to make sure they stand quietly for her at the moment. He is one of those horses that just makes the shape so easily in the bridle because he is built to go there. Just such a good mover. The hind leg is crazy good and the way he can sit and push just a few days off the track is a super indication of all good things to come. The canter makes me think he will jump quite a big fence. Just a really special kind of horse that screams big time in my opinion. He is so a professional to ride. You just pick up the reins and he goes to work. Not hot or silly. Super easy to put your leg on and ride to the bridle. Just a very rideable relaxed type. Nicely forward on his own without feeling any nervousness. He didn't look at anything in the ring.

Gold N Silver- 5yr 16h gelding sired by Goldencents out of a Half Ours mare https://www.pedigreequery.com/gold+n+silver6 He ran 31x earning 152k. Retiring sound, no injuries and no vices.
I am a huge fan of the Goldencents and I love his bottom line as well. I just find the GC to be super trainable, athletic, cute movers and good jumpers. They tend to always been the types that make a great shape in the bridle with little input from the rider needed and they are ammy friendly. They just have been great types for me.
This cutie just arrived. He has shipped like a pro, been great in the cross ties, grooming, stall and turnout. Very well mannered. Super for hot shoes today.
He was just a really lovely mover in the free area.
I had some time over my lunch break today so I did his first ride and as I expected he was just such a good boy. It was a really hot weirdly warm day so I was very thankful for the new clip job Amanda gave him. He stood quietly to be tacked, lunged perfectly and was great at the mounting block. He started off a bit upside down but really started to figure it out as he went along and put in some lovely work. This horse is so so quiet and just rideable. I really had to put a lot of pressure on him at times to get him to soften and bend but he just was very thoughtful about all of it. We started with his head straight in the air with no hint of soft and by the end he was really stretching and letting go across his topline. I have a video that I made showing the beginning stuff because I think it will be a good talking piece but that is for a separate post :) I just find a horse looks and feels so differently with learning how to soften right from the beginning. He is just such a brilliant boy. I truly thought he was trying so very hard and was very proud of him.
We popped back on him today so we could grab some pictures and he was just as good as he was yesterday. Stacy remarked how quiet and ammy friendly he felt to her as well. He was a bit tired as he has done a lot these past few days but he was super willing to do anything asked. Just a super fun easy type. Great brain!

Pie in the Sky- 3yr 16. h gelding sired by Brody's Cause out of a Rockport Harbor mare https://www.pedigreequery.com/pie+in+the+sky8 He is unraced due to a case of the slows but he did train. He has just been hanging out in the field for quite some time.
Pie did arrive with an undisclosed injury which connections have not acknowledged or provided information about. I immediately noticed he has some significant atrophy on his left hind. I had him worked up by the vet. Essentially he likely had an injury as a foal/yearling to his pelvis/hip/stifle which caused some atrophy on the left side. He is not lame and absolutely not in pain but he does have a mechanical gait which arises from this type of injury. A horse will not track the same from the left to the right.
Pie hasn't been in work so he is rather unfit. Fitness will absolutely help him strengthen his hind end. He is lacking topline overall and although he if fat adding muscle to his frame should have him looking and feeling entirely different.
He had his first ride in lord knows how long the other day and he was so good. Perfect standing in the barn, tacking, lunging and mounting. He was ridden western and was just such a good boy. He is quite a good mover with a dreamy canter. Pie is super quiet with a great brain. There was another horse being lunged and ridden in the ring with him and he could have cared less. He is very laid back and sensible.
Pie has the cutest floppy ears you will ever see. He is an extremely adorable horse with the best personality. I know he won't be able to do a high level career but he absolutely can have a very useful life and will make someone the best horse. He will make you smile just looking at him and there is a lot to be said about that!
Pie is used to living in a big field in KY. He has big huge beautiful feet. He has no vices. He is very content to be outside but happy inside as well. He is super sweet. Loves people. Excellent for shipping, grooming, baths, farrier and everything in between.
Pie is in the extreme low carrots. Good home most important. I will check references.

Direct Action is just beyond adorable and the perfect little package. Just waiting for his abscess to pop. Yes, we are doing some light work with him because the darn thing is probably going to come out the coronary band and needs some help pushing it along.

The Best Detail- 3yr 16.3 h APHA/AQHA registered gelding sired by Only The Best Willdo out of a HBF Iron Man mare https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/the+best+detail2 His sire is a 17.3 h World Champion NSBA Hunter Under Saddle and multiple reserve world champion producer. His dam is a 16.3 h Reserve World Champion Hunter Under Saddle.
We all know that Tb's are my thing but when I saw the videos of this lovely horse, I just thought he would be something really fun to bring along. He was beautifully started western more geared towards the hunter under saddle but in western tack. There are videos of him being ridden that way but obviously that is not our forte. He has been learning a bit of a different way of going here but I think this horse is just so smart and trainable he will do whatever you would like. The brain on this horse cannot be beat. He rides like a dream and is just so trainable. It was obvious our way of training is different than what he was taught but he never gets upset when he is confused. He will try anything for you. He is so well started and for his size super balanced. The canter...boy oh boy that is just dreamy.
Right now he is still learning to go from a different way of going to a more uphill forward way but each ride he is better than the last. I think obviously we have changed up what he knew so you will have to use your imagination if you want him to go back to the western way. I think he would make a super nice hunter/ dressage horse or really do anything. He is so lovely in his shape.
I can tell you that while he is a huge growing 3yr that in the middle of winter with inconsistent riding he has been nothing but perfect. Cold, windy, hasn't been ridden in days, etc. He has a darn good brain. He is quite athletic though and still a green horse. I suspect he will easily be 17+ h so this is not a beginner type of QH. This is your more souped up sporty version. Maybe you like the athletic TB but want something a little but on the duller side and he would be that. He is more of a push ride. He is not going to go anywhere or do anything fast enough to scare anyone :) His spook is a step to the side and then he goes on about his business. He has a very soft mouth. You will probably need spurs/stick to ride him unless you want to go really slow which he happily will do. He is content to stand and chill for as long as you would like.
His ground personality is part dog. I swear this horse is not afraid of anything and will drag you towards scary things just to touch them. He has a bit of a licking/touching sort of thing where he loves to just drag you to see things and then pick them up or touch them. He is a riot! He will lick you and take your hat off/unzip your coat/etc. He is just very much in your pocket type. He wants to be with you all the time.
He has extensive ground work and lunges perfectly both ways. I do not know of any bad habits. He has perfect for turnout, stall, cross ties, clipping, grooming, shipping, farrier, etc. He wears a size 82 blanket and will soon be in a 84. He isn't close to done filling out. He has no vices. He is sound. I have popped him down my jump chute and I will try to get some video of that soon enough. We plan on riding him in the field next.
I think this is the type of horse that a lot of people hope to find especially if you want to develop a very well bred, well started type that could cross disciplines.

My cute little Bear is feeling sad because all his friends are finding new homes for the holiday and he has had no interest. Yes, he has a bit of a big white eye but I promise there is nothing crazy about him. He is just beyond adorable and his big white eye is part of his adorable personality.
Bear has been with us for several months. He has hacked out, well started in the ring and has recently been ridden with western tack. Bear is a horse that is straightforward to ride. He likes you to have the ability to maintain a bit of connection from leg to hand which to him feels like a nice secure connection. He is a sensible horse that goes nicely forward without being hot or silly. He makes a lovely shape in the bridle and has a super good mouth. He is well balanced and the type that just sits there light in your hand.
The Bearrish One- 4yr 15.3h gelding sired by Classic Empire out of a Forest Wildcat mare. He was a 30k 2yr. He ran 32 x earning 95k. He retired sound, no injuries and has no vices.
He has excellent manners. Ships, clips, great for baths, grooming, turnout, in his stall and everything in between. He is such a fun fun horse to ride and work around. Just very pleasant.
